the weekend so far...

 

fly fishing...

today i went fly fishing for the first time in my life. i have fished for trout before but never using an actual fly rod. i first have to thank my good friend cole for inviting me along and showing me the ropes with great patience. it was great learning something completely new. it was frustrating at first but got better as the day went on. i caught about 12 rainbow trout. i can't wait to go again...

this looks really painful...

but don't worry because they are back to normal now, thank goodness!

happy 50th...

when i think about spending the next 48 years of my life with holly i get excited...i hope i'm as excited then as i am now b/c that is a long, long time. great party mom and dad, it was a real treat to see family members we don't often see. i hear there is going to be another big party next year...that should be fun!
