happy 50th...

when i think about spending the next 48 years of my life with holly i get excited...i hope i'm as excited then as i am now b/c that is a long, long time. great party mom and dad, it was a real treat to see family members we don't often see. i hear there is going to be another big party next year...that should be fun!

kay and mindy made it to springfield this week and we had a great time and these were some pics of everyone and all the dogs...we had a great time

papa's brother noel and his wife mildred along with their daughter and neice, carla and hannah, made it to town today and what better way to welcome them to the ozarks then take them out to lamberts. hannah will be working kannukuk all summer on tablerock.

my weekend

i know it would be better if i had pictures...i will hopefully have them sometime in the near future...i still don't know how we did not have a single camera...anyway, here is the break down for the weekend.
friday:
1. country fever fest to see pat green
2. wound up getting backstage passes to actually meet pat green
3. and dirks bentley
4. pictures were taken and i hope i'm able to validate my story
saturday:
1. got to bed at 3am in an abandoned gas station sidewalk
2. hit the river and rolled the canoe in a such a way that i can't describe in a blog. i can tell you that everything in my canoe was soaked...not good
3. paddles 18 miles
4. cooked a great dinner...thanks doug and brad for preparing the meal
sunday:
1. hit the river early
2. saw a deer crossing the river...first time i've ever seen that
3. jumped off a 40 foot cliff that i had to scale just to jump...extremely exciting
4. got out of the river early
5. ate a great lunch...at McD's...and had a cold soft drink
6. got to eat dinner with my dad...very nice way to end a very awesome weekend!

what a fun night at the ballpark

 
tonight was the annual realtor night at the springfield cardinals game. we brought quite a crew, including tim from our street reach class. we were asked to participate in musical chairs as you can see, which was quite fun. believe me, when they tell you it's totally safe they are lying. check out lucas's eye, which was from my elbow, sorry bro. also pay close attention to brad absolutely taking out one of blake's friends because he stole his chair, it was great. thanks mom and dad for the tickets and dinner.
